Belly News Issue 1

Welcome to Belly News!

This is the first issue of Belly News!

This newsletter is for my Mesa Art Center belly dance classes to keep you updated on class happenings, events and all things belly dance.

I plan on this being a monthly newsletter possibly bi-monthly if a lot is going on.

Some of you may not know anything about belly dancing, its history, costuming, music, etc. When you have some time check out my website to gain an insight on belly dancing and check out my bio page to find out a little bit about me,

I also have a page just for you my students, Here you will find class choreographies and links to present and past class dances on YouTube, along with photos from events.

Enjoy and see you in class.

Class Videos Are Posted!!!
Okay all the beginning class routines are now posted on YouTube; sorry intermediate classes yours will be posted soon.

Check them out on my YouTube Channel, to see this session’s routines and previous routines and performances.

You can also check out the Students Page ( on my website to go directly to current and past dance videos plus choreography handouts.

Class Recital
Our class recital will be on Tuesday July 13th in the Acting Studio room from 7:00 - ???

Invite family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. to the performance; it’s free.

Students please show up early to warm up and run through the routines in the dance room.
Let me know if you would like to do a solo, duet, etc. Please keep your performance 5 minutes or less.
August & Fall Session
The August session starts on August 3rd, 4th & 5th and will run for 4 weeks.

Here’s your chance to try a different dance style; cabaret or tribal.

Starting in August I will be teaching a bellyrobics class on Thursday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 pm! This class is a low impact aerobics class using belly dance moves to get the body moving and heart rate up. This is not a class on how to belly dance it’s a pure exercise class.

Fall session starts on August 31st, September 1st & 2nd. The fall session will be 2 seven week sessions not one long session like it has been in the past.

I will post the registration information on my website when I have all the details.

Check out my website for August registration info:
